Post #28: Alternate Liquids - Antiazoth Pt. 4 (Final)

Much to Hannah's dismay, it was yet again one of those times to shut down all of the equipment and lay low, I might go over the reasons at a later time, since for now I want to finally finish off this project I undertook several years ago and bring this fourparter to a conclusion.

In the previous post I've talked about the vaccine for the Azoth that clumps up in our bodies whenever we're exposed to Longus Homo's presence, being seemingly capable of eliminating it's presence within us without any lasting effects. Of course that was practice on just strands of liquids, all under a microscope, the question now was how would my vaccine fair in an actual human body.

It took me a while to find a perfect test subject, there's many of them in the wild out there regardless of how many of them think they are laying low. However trying to force an experimental vaccine on either a runner or a proxy most likely wouldn't go so well, considering the inherent trust issues and paranoia that both tend to exhibit, for obvious reasons.

So the ideal candidate would have to be a catatonic one, or as people on the blogs have taken to calling them: "The Hollowed". For those unfamiliar with the term, The Hollowed are people who's minds seem to be in a permanent catatonic state, despite that their bodies continue to move, undertaking specific tasks as if receiving orders from an unknown to us source. Hannah used to be one that I used when I needed to carry out my experiments on Azoth's Electrical Conduction properties, so the practice is not an unfamiliar one.

I was able to find my target in an abandoned train yard, a hooded figure, about the size of a teenager, standing in the middle of the abandoned train tracks, not moving, seemingly waiting for something. It wasn't hard to get a drop on them and inject them with the vaccine, applying it to the back of their neck, but avoiding the cervical spine entirely, I wasn't about to perform something as precise as an Epidural Injection, not whilst the recipient of the vaccine was busy thrashing around in my grip, an injection near the back of the neck would have to do considering that Azoth tends to begin it's invasion of the human body from the nervous system.

As soon as I finished injecting the vaccine into my test subject, his thrashing began to transform into violent shaking, a convulsion. I set the test subject down on the ground and ran off into one of the nearby abandoned wagons, observing from a distance in case there were more Proxies prowling around. The convulsion lasted for around 5 minutes, during the process the subject seemed to begin foaming at the mouth, so far everything pointed to a seizure attack. This process lasted for around 15-20 minutes, during that time the subject would begin to make it's first noises, grunts of pain to be more precise.

Then suddenly the body seized and went limp, looked like the test subject passed away. However, never to be sure I gave it 30 minutes, during my wait I tried to see from the distance if the body was breathing, or not, but it was too dark and I was too far away to tell. Once the time ran out, I was about to start walking towards the subject's body in order to take a blood and saliva sample to see what exactly occurred, but to my pleasant surprise I was stopped dead in my tracks by the sudden eruption of violent coughs from the very much alive Test Subject.

The coughs lasted about 3 minutes after which the Subject would turns itself on it's side and begin to vomit out a lot of black substance. this lasted for around 40 minutes, at some point the regular vomiting turned into unsuspecting vomiting as I could hear the test subject begin to question where it was, but instantly being interrupted by a wave of black liquid violently erupting out of it's mouth. Eventually the test subject got up to it's feet, leaning against one of the abandoned wagons, no doubt trying to collect it's thoughts and itself in general.

The subject seemed to have no idea of where it was, how it got there, or even what year it was. It did remember it's name and where it last was before it's assumed abduction.

The test subject would begin to slowly and limply try and finds it's way out of the abandoned train yard and into the civilization. I followed it, but not before getting myself a sample of the black liquid that it vomited out. Reason for my pursuit of the subject after the experiment is that the train yard was surrounded by a forest, not far from the highway but still, it was dense enough. I kept an eye on the subject up until it got to the highway and was picked up by a truck driver and given a lift, I wanted to make sure the subject to made it's way to some kind of a safe spot, because I'm planning on keeping tabs on it, to see if any side effects of the vaccine begin to rear their head.

While it was convulsing I searched the subject for any identifying documents on it and it had an ID card on itself, so I know the subject's name, where it was born, where it used to live, making the process of keeping tabs on it much easier.

If there are any side effects that begin to appear, I will re-open this post chain and proceed to update it just like I have for this entire time. However, for now, this post chain is on lockdown, at this point all I have left to do is wait.

Might go over the collected vomit sample at a later date.

Post #27: Alternate Liquids - Antiazoth Pt. 3

A breakthrough, after years of trying to work on this, what was seemingly at the time a little project of mine, has turned into a nearly 5 year long endeavour to synthesize a "vaccine" of sorts, to allow the human body to fend itself of the Alternate Liquid intake that tends to happen when we come into contact with "Longus Homo" (Or "Slenderman" as it is more widely known).

Let's cover some of the basics first to refresh the memory:
1. I manage to get my hands on a blood sample from a shadowy organization.
2. Said blood sample contains within itself a unique set of white blood cells which are capable of fending off Azoth.
3. The end result ends up killing Azoth but also all the necessary antibodies along with it, leaving the human body more vulnerable to other infections.

So the purpose of experimentation up until this point was to find a way to somehow protect the antibodies from dying off after successfully fending off Azoth, to leave the human body intact with a perfectly functioning immune system.

Thanks to Kelevra's generous donation, the water from the "Moriturum's" ("Dying Man's") domain, which exhibited extraordinary, healing properties.

Examining the water under the microscope, it didn't at all appear to be different from the regular water that we consume in our day-to-day lives. However, when combined with the Anti-Azothic blood sample, the changes were instantaneous and obvious, specifically to the blood's white cells. The water seemed to accelerate the activity of the cells, matching it to that of the activity of the Neutrophils which essentially acts as "first responders" of the immune system. By nature Neutrophils are usually the first of the White Blood Cells to detect harm to the immune system and are first to engage said form of harm, meaning that they are significantly "faster" than the rest of the cells. If none of you know, Neutrophils usually consist 55 -80% of a person's white blood cells, acting as the first line of defence against viruses and bacteria, the remaining white cells (Monocytes, Lymphocytes, Basophils and Eosinophils) act as a form of "back-up" or "clean-up", as a result of which they are usually far "slower" or "delayed" in their activity, mainly because they must allow the Neutrophils to fight off whatever might be endangering the immune system first. However, when I added the water, the result was the other white cells match their activity speed to Neutrophils (Neutrophils remained unchanged).

Now regular water intake is important, because it helps the human body to produce Lymph which in turn is responsible for circulating the white blood cells and nutrients across the body, allowing the cells to travel to all of the body's tissues. The water from the river however, seems to not only do that, but also seemingly increase the speed at which the cells travel through the body.

Naturally, the next step was to pit the Anti-Azothic blood, which has been infused with the water, against Azoth itself. In my previous test, the blood seemed to eliminate the Azoth, but at the cost of the White Cells themselves, this time however the outcome was different. Right off the bat, the engagement was different, whereas before, when Azoth was introduced it was the first one to engage the White Cells, this time it seemed like the White Cells were the first ones to attack Azoth, safe to assume this is due to the fact that Cell activity was increased because of the River Water. Second big difference was the fact that the Cells were not absorbing the Azoth like last time, this time they were outright dissipating it, again this is most likely due to the fact that the River Water increased the speed of activity within the rest of the White Cells allowing the Monocytes to help break down the Azoth and Lymphocytes create the necessary antibodies, at greater speed.

As a result of the White Cells no longer needing to absorb Azoth to eliminate it, the White Cells remained instead of dying out along with the Azoth. This is an important finding, a first step in creating a vaccine of sorts for the infections that our bodies suffer when coming in contact with one of those creatures.

The next step is live subject testing.

Post #26: Interesting Anomaly #02 - Book of the Blind.

It seems that my meeting with Kelevra has already been made public, indeed Kelevra did reach out to me when he was stunted on figuring out how to read the book that he acquired from the Blind Man's domain. I of course declined said meeting, my own research on the development of Anti-Azoth was far too important, I was not willing to put the research off for any deviations, however, in order to entice me into the meeting Kelevra offered a bargain: I help him out with the book and in return he will give me a jar of water, which he acquired from the Dying Man's river. Remembering that the water was capable of healing even the most severe of injuries, I determined for myself that it was a valuable asset to have at my disposal, not only for the purposes of studying, but potentially to help me make progress with the development of Anti-Azoth (Still deciding on a better name).

I gave Kelevra a date, time and the address of the research centre that I would need, telling him not to path in there before, or after the agreed upon time and date, he had to path in at exactly the agreed upon time, otherwise I would not show up. Luckily for me, him and his colleagues seemed to have followed the instructions quite closely.

I've been to this facility many times before, so I knew my way around. I discovered this place during one of my experiments, the experiment was about trying to determine how various nucleus areas can transport one who wanders into them, to the domain of the creatures that many of us are hunted by. However, I failed to take the necessary precautions and was transported to their domain, it wasn't a big issue though, mainly because I'm really good at determining where the exits usually are, the problem with that however is I had no control on where exactly I would exit and so, a happy accident occurred and I exited on the outskirts of this facility. I swiped one of the access cards many years ago, hence why I can access the facility with little effort, same wasn't true for Kelevra and his colleagues, so it was very fortunate that me and Hannah stumbled upon them, before they could trigger the alarms.

I believe both Malik and Hannah did a decent enough job explaining where we all ended up after meeting up.

Now, some might say that it wasn't a particularly smart idea to shoo Hannah away with Malik and Franky on guard duty, effectively leaving me alone with Kelevra, an individual that isn't exactly regarded for his honesty, however, if he were to betray our agreement, I doubt Hannah would be able to do much, in fact, her being outside gave her a head start if anything were to happen, luckily nothing happened.

Kelevra took out both the jar with the water from the Dying Man's River and the book he acquired from The Blind Man's Catacombs: "Let's science, Spooky Man!" he exclaimed with excitement.

Ignoring the nickname I immediately started analysing the book, which wasn't exactly in the most pristine condition. The blank, red, half-scratched hardcover was barely holding together due to the falling apart spine of the book, the smell was "earthly" best I can put it, the pages are all of the dark-ish yellow colour, all of them blank, just like Kelevra described. Well except for the one blood filled page, I'm assuming that's the one Kelevra smeared his blood all over in hopes that, that would somehow do something: "You claimed that you are certain that there's more to this book." I enquired, mainly because, again, other than the poor condition of the book, there was nothing to it, it was blank, none of the pages had anything written on them, or etched into them and it was definitely not in brail.

He sat down on the opposite side of the desk: "I am, it may look blank to you and me, but my darling is telling me that there's actually something within it."

I knew it was probably a poor choice of words on his end, but that sentence did give me an idea on where to start. If we couldn't determine if there was anything actually written on those pages, or not, then we could try to determine what those pages consisted of. With Kelevra's permission, I cut off a small piece of the paper and placed it under a microscope, now if I were to place a regular piece of paper under a microscope, I would see a network of plant fibres that have been laid down to form a flat sheet. But with the paper from this book, I wasn't presented with a network of plant fibres, I was presented with... fly ash particles.

What does that mean? Well it means that the pages within this book were all made out of black fly ash, which is something you get when you burn coal. Now, this isn't that much of an alien concept, but it is also not the most common one considering that the Chinese Professor Zhang Meiyun only in 2009 proposed the idea of using Fly Ash as the key component in paper production, what's weirder is that the the suggestion turned into reality only a year ago, what is weird about that you may ask? Well, the fact that this book looked like it was put together long before 2009, long before the idea of even using fly ash to produce paper was a theory, this book predates the practice. Meaning that whoever put this book together were way ahead of their time, this revelation made me slightly amused, mainly because this was a sign of our science finally closing some kind of gap between us and the "supernatural"!

Sorry, moving away from the tangent, this revelation might seem like nothing special, a sentiment echoed by Kelevra's unenthusiastic: "So what?" Funny thing about research, any new revelation raises more questions, questions demand speculation, speculation leads to action, action results in further questions, it's kind of a never-ending web of questions that will untangle after you ask all of them and get to the core. Knowing that the pages were made out of fly ash particles, meant that these pages were at some point part of coal, what does coal do? Burn. Now coal ash on it's own (Which is a combination of fly ash and bottom ash) is toxic enough to pose a health issue for many who work in the coal-oriented industries, so burning a small piece of a page, consisting purely out of fly ash, which came from a book that was acquired from a Alternate Creature (In this case the Blind Man) would probably be a bad idea without the proper precautions.

Luckily we were in the right room, respirator masks and goggles were plentiful. Putting the small piece of paper in a tray, I began to burn it, it didn't burn for long considering it was just a small piece of the page, nothing was out of the ordinary about the burning process itself, it just burned up, emitted a bit of smoke and that's it. However, when I began to approach the burnt paper Kelevra tried to follow, but immediately stumbled and almost fell, if it weren't for a table next to him, that he grabbed onto to maintain his balance. At first I thought it was him just being clumsy, but once I glanced at him, slightly hunched over, standing still, holding his bandaged head with one of his hands, it was clear that this was more than a mere stumble.

I eagerly approached him, asking him if it was something from the burning, how could it possibly effect him if he was wearing the mask and the goggles, what did he experience and etc. I didn't get any answers to those questions, he just looked up at me, with a wild smile on his face, quietly proclaiming: "I saw him doc..." After which he suddenly grabbed me by my shoulders, I instantly braced myself for whatever violent act he was going to enact upon me, but instead all I received was an excited shake, with Kelevra, seemingly back to full energy proclaiming happily: "You did it doc!" I tried to ask what is it exactly that I "did", but he would cut me off, stating: "No time! I got what I needed, so I'm taking the book now, as promised you can keep the water." To say that I wasn't frustrated at the lack of answers I was getting would be a lie, however, as excited and interested as I was about learning what is it exactly that I "did", ultimately that wasn't why I was there, I was there for the water and so, deciding not to push my luck any further, I simply took my reward and we parted ways.

I have been researching the water since my return, I will publish my findings in my next post.

It's so unusual to be sitting in a room which is not lit up by candles for once, I'm back.

Let's get right down to business. The organization that I infiltrated back in January of 2015, when I stole that liquid that they developed in order to eliminate Azoth from the human body? Turns out, they had more tricks up their sleeves and unbeknownst to me, have been slowly tracking down my signal. Luckily for us, I was able to notice a "Change in scenery" let's call it that, and immediately ordered Hannah to help me turn off anything electronic.

For a whole year we sat with no electricity, no way of communication with the outside world and looking around, it looks like we weren't the only ones who went silent, which is a pity.

I was of course, capable of going outside on a few occasions in order to get all the living necessities we would require at the time and on occasion, I was also able to access the internet in order to keep an eye on any updates, but not for too long, or else the organization that was after us, would start sniffing around more broadly.

Since then, we've changed locations, got new equipment and pretty much renewed everything, it took time to establish a new safe ground, but we finally did it.

However, the forceful silence did not limit my researching endeavors. Whilst outside, I tried my best to encounter a proxy, I was hoping to find a hollowed one, since the liquid was known for killing the body after it eliminated all of Azoth, but alas, I had to settle for a regular proxy.

I was able to sneak up behind them and force a drop of the liquid into their mouth, making sure they swallowed it. After which I immediately started running away, whilst the proxy was occupied with coughing. Realizing that I wasn't being followed, I stuck around to see the effects, but there were none, at least, not immediately.

I followed this proxy for a week and a half, as carefully as I could, I did not plan on staying out for such a long time and it was dangerous, but, my curiosity got the best of me. Effects started taking place after 3 days, the proxy in question started coughing furiously and throughout the 3 days, they became a lot more paler. Couple of days later, the coughing would only increase, to the point that the Proxy would have to stop at some points and cough up a good amount of Azoth. The following 4 days, the Proxy was experiencing an extreme case of skin shedding and at certain points, incapability to move. The Remaining 2 days, the proxy in question, suffocated to death, whilst their skin kept peeling off, luckily for me, they had suffocated in a secluded area, which granted me the ability to examine the corpse. Skin wasn't the only thing that was peeling off, the proxy was also suffering an extreme case of loss of hair.

Curious with the internal damage, I cut open a small bit of the proxies body open, pure blood, no traces of Azoth, or the Liquid which I put the Proxy in contact with, I took a blood sample and on that same day, sent it off to my contact who had the technology to tell me more.

As soon as we established a new base of operations, I read through my e-mails and 3 days after I sent off the blood sample, I already had a reply. My contact informed me, that there was nothing out of the ordinary with the blood sample I had sent them, apart from the fact that it was stale, but that could easily be due to the fact, that when I sent it off, it wasn't stored properly.

At least, the liquid, which I will now dub the "Anti-Azoth" works, to some extent.

Post #16: Experiment #3 - Choice (Update #3: What to do?)

Evening,

I'm afraid I am stumped at this moment in time.

I believe I have hit the limit with what I could possibly experiment with, with the experiment subject, now I'm not quite sure what to do with them, keeping them locked up is not an option.

I have two choices:

Seeing as the test subject has no recollection of any of their Slenderman encounters, or anything that happened after they encountered the Slenderman for the first time. So I could just let them go blindly and not bother with them wandering around blind and clueless.

Or, I can spend some time telling them about it, about the situation they were in before I brought them out of the hollowed state, about the situation in general and then let them go.

The reason of why I'm giving you people this choice is because, I personally, don't care, I can just kick them out and not worry about them ever finding my hideout. Another reason is that I need some confirmation that some of you are still alive, it's been quiet for too long, so maybe this way I can flush out some voices.

If no voices come forward, I just kick the test subject out and put them at risk of being hollowed again, or maybe even worse.

Post #13: Experiment #3 - Electricity (Update #2: Interesting Side Effects)

Ghost here,

I was able to bring in the lie detector and as I predicted, the Test Subject was always telling the truth about not knowing of Slenderman's, or any of the Fear's existence. Again, this doesn't mean anything, since Azoth can be manipulating the Test Subject's nervous system from the inside.

However, I noted an interesting Side Effect. I used a taser to bring the Test Subject back into their proper mind set from being Hollow. I thought I eliminated a good bit of Azoth from the Test Subjects mind by doing so, but I was wrong. Apparently, I just slowed it down and forced it to adapt to the electrocution, it never made sense to me on how could Electricity possibly cause a negative effect on Azoth, since Azoth bares traces of Iron in it and if we remember the basics of Physics, we will know that Iron serves as a great conductor for Electricity.

So me assuming that I hurt, or eliminated a bit of Azoth was foolish.

I started getting shocked every time I came into physical contact with the Test Subject. Now, electricity being produced by a human body is nothing new, doing it on a regular basis, is.

I assume the reason why Azoth was inactive all this time, is because it was learning our laws of physics and finding out that it can actually conduct electricity. Add to that the chemical parts of the human body and Azoth figured out that it can produce and conduct electrical energy.

I don't know what kind of effect this new addition to Azoth may have on the Test Subject, I have several theories that lean towards a negative effect, but I can't confirm anything for now.

Ghost, out.

Post #12: Experiment #3 - Obedience (Update #1: Past Reflexes)

I decided to unchain my test subject. They are still in the cellar. I understand that it is quite dangerous to keep the test subject unrestrained like that, however, I've spent an entire week asking the same questions. Questions about Slenerman, Azoth, how the subject got involved, everything connected to the fears and every single time the same answer: No recollection of such events.

Luckily, the test subject did have the recollection of their name, their upbringing and etc. However, that was it, so I did some research, it says that the test subject went missing and have been missing for 7 years, the test subject's home state declared them dead. This is where the test subject draws a blank.

Could it be, that by making the Azoth back off from the brain, the test subject forgot everything the moment Azoth was implemented into their body? If that's the case than the injection of Azoth must have been severe, since it should have immediately worked it's way up to the brain. In small dosages, Azoth doesn't go directly for the brain, it manifests, it needs time, hence, the memories would stay intact even after the introduction to Slenderman.

Regardless, the reason why I unchained the test subject, is because whenever they answered the questions I asked, there was something in their face expression when I observed them, while they were answering. It's as if based on only the face expressions I was able to tell that the test subject is telling the truth. It sounds ridiculous and extremely "Out of character" for my analytical self and yet, that's the feeling that kept creeping back and stalking me. Probably something left over from my past self.

And if they truly are telling the truth, I see no reason for keeping them chained up like a dog.

I'm trying to get a lie detector in order to see if the test subject is telling the truth, which will take some time. However, again, there's a possibility the lie detector won't be able to tell me anything, since, as I said many times before, Azoth is capable of controlling the human's nervous system.

Everybody remembers how various people tried using electricity against Slenderman? For a short period of time, people believed that it had some sort of effect on Slenderman, however it was proven otherwise, when the creature showed that it did not effect it in any way.

However, there is an effect.

That's what I've been doing for the past couple of weeks, I've been electrocuting a Proxy.

I know it sounds horrible, but bear with me.

During the time of my absence, I was outside, hunting for a test subject. To be more precise, I was trying to capture a Hollowed Proxy, those, who's minds are completely engulfed in Azoth and they are nothing but puppets.

Luckily, I was able to capture such a Proxy, using the good old fashion trick of applying chloroform to the face.

I chained up the subject and placed them in my cellar, where the only way out was the entrance door.

After that, my daily routine consisted of electrocuting the test subject. The test subject was electrocuted every 2 hours of every day. With every new day, the voltage level would increase by 15 volt. Overall the reactions would always be the same: pointless snarls, moans and groans. There would be a few rare occasions when the test subject would outright yell.

Finally, when I reached 450 volt-shock level, the Test Subject went unconscious. After 22 minutes, The Test Subject woke up and for the first time ever, began questioning on where they were and what is going on. First proper sentence I heard coming from the Test Subject.

I explained the situation. They said that they don't understand what I'm talking about and that all they wanted to do was go home. They didn't know what Azoth was, nor what the Slenderman was. Failing to identify whether they were telling the truth or it was Azoth manipulating the human body to lie, I still kept the Test Subject sustained.

I stopped electrocuting them for now. I took their blood sample and I was correct in my suspicions, the Azoth is still in the blood stream, which means two things:

1. As I said before, it could be Azoth manipulating the human body into lying.
2. The Test Subject retained control of their mind, after several electrocutions.

Now I am just observing the behavior of the Test Subject, unknowingly to them. All this time, they kept acting normally, the expressions of their face would change accordingly to their mood.

Apologies for the long absence, one of the side effects of crossing into a different universe.

That's what my last post was, a phone call into a different universe. I can't really go too much into depth on how I managed to pull it off, we all have to keep a few secrets to ourselves. The kid required help, so I helped him.

After that little stunt, I had to shut off all my electrical equipment for a good amount of time, so I wouldn't be tracked, hence the silence.

I decided to go through with Lovett's idea, of course, before I could do that, I had to check my journal if my past self did this experiment already. He did, but of course, in order to see for myself, I had to do it myself.

So I put on my rubber suit, got the jar where a good portion of Azoth was located. Cut three pieces of it off and put those 3 pieces in the same plastic box near each other. The result was an expected one, they merged together into one. So I decided to cut it into 3 pieces again, but this time, put the pieces further away from each other. The pieces couldn't merge together, they were trying, but they were too far away from each other, the pieces were moving, but they were moving very slowly. Which shows that in little doses and with no host, Azoth is weak.

You'd think that the experiment ends there, right? Well, no. Based on some records, I decided to do another experiment. I took another jar of Azoth out, this Jar has housed the Azoth for 2 years (According to my journal) the reason why it didn't fall apart yet, is because there's a lot of it inside, opening this Jar alone is very risky. But we don't get anywhere without taking a few risks.

So I opened the Jar and tried to cut bits of it off, it tried to lash out at me, but I put a drop of Acidus in the Jar, so it would be occupied with eliminating Acidus. While it was doing that, I managed to cut one piece of it off, after which I put that piece inside the box with the other Azoth.

Now the interesting part begins, it didn't try to merge with it, didn't even try to move towards it, both of the pieces remained stationary. So I decided to help them out a little, I picked up the older Azoth and put it on top of the fresher one.

I waited for a few minutes and then saw that the Azoth that was older, was starting to bubble up, but upon closer examination, it wasn't bubbling up at all, it was the older Azoth's tendrils ripping into the fresher Azoth. I couldn't really see what was happening, but what I did see a few minutes later, was that the fresher Azoth was hardened and it actually fell apart into what seemed like to be black dust. I wanted to pick up the samples of the dust, but was unable to, because they just dissolved, there was nothing left other than the older Azoth.

So apparently, Azoth does age, the way I can tell is that as we age, we change. That's what happened to the Azoth that I had for two years, it changed, which means that it aged.

Post #5: Experiment #1 - Acidus vs Azoth

As Miss Med suggested, I decided to mix Azoth and Acidus together, but before I could do that, I went through my journal very quickly, to see if I had already done that. Apparently I did, but just in case, I did it again, to see if the reaction would be the same since the last time I did it.

Don't expect a big analysis here, I'm only going to be describing on what the reaction between the two liquids was.

I had to construct a plastic box, with a glass top so that Acidus wouldn't be able to burn through it and at the same time, I could see what was happening. After I finished constructing the box, I got dressed in my rubber suit, then I cut off a decent chunk of Azoth and put it inside the box.

Note: Azoth isn't too active in small bits.

Then I took the plastic canister, where Acidus was and poured a small bit of it directly on top of Azoth and covered the plastic box with a glass top immediately.

The process began immediately when Acidus came into contact with Azoth. Exactly what I expected happened, Acidus was burning through Azoth with ease, Azoth was constantly bubbling up and dissolving into thin air, after about 3-4 minutes there was nothing in the box but Acidus. Nothing remained of Azoth, it was like it was never in that box.

That's when I thought that the experiment was over, but to my surprise, it wasn't.

2 minutes after the experiment, Acidus started emitting smoke, I assumed that it was trying to burn through the plastic, but I still decided to observe. Good thing I did, a few seconds later, Acidus caught fire, purple fire to be precise. This is where the understandings of chemistry fail me:

First of; In order to produce purple fire, you need a mixture of Butane, Potassium Chloride and Strontium Nitrate (Most common way I'm aware of). None of those seem to be located in Azoth, or Acidus.

Second; I have never seen, or heard of Hydrofluoric Acid actually burning on fire.

Acidus burning through Azoth is logical, Hydrofluoric Acid can burn through Metal, it makes sense. But Hydrofluoric Acid catching purple fire after having contact with metal, doesn't make sense.

But the experiment wasn't over just yet. It took the fire about 10 minutes to reduce Acidus to nothing but ashes. I tried to inspect the ashes with my microscope, but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

This is honestly the biggest reason why I went with the experiment, even though I already did it before. I didn't believe what my past self wrote to me, but now that I've seen it myself, I don't doubt my previous recordings.
